• Biblically based: We believe Scripture has authority over church tradition or popular opinion and strive to teach God's Word with integrity so that seekers find Christ and believers mature in Him. We believe that Biblical teaching, along with prayer, can transform the lives of individuals and of the church.
• Worship driven: We desire to acknowledge God’s supremacy both in our personal lives and in the corporate worship of our church. We believe that God is always present with us, but in worship God's presence is most fully communicated and known.
• Prayer empowered: We depend on both individual and corporate prayer in the planning and execution of all the ministries and activities of Haven Shores, whether local or global. We may be but one small church community, but prayer has no borders!
• Seeker friendly: We know that those who are not yet committed to Christ matter to God, and so they matter to us as well. We desire to create a friendly, non-threatening environment in which seekers are free to explore the Christian faith at their own pace.
• Believer equipping: We seek to help people to grow spiritually. We provide biblical instruction and encourage believers to discover and exercise their spiritual gifts. We believe that the health of the church is dependent upon active participation from all members.
• Family affirming: We seek to provide an atmosphere which strengthens marriages, matures families, and affirms the value of single adults. We are committed to a strong children's ministry and desire to equip and encourage our youth to become followers of Jesus Christ.
• Community focused: We reach into our local community and seek to serve in Christ's name. We believe that training laborers for outreach is essential both for fulfilling the Great Commission and for building fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
